Regarding the Hill Circuit Program
I have been using the Hill Circuit since September when we started the new session. This is one of the best features Energy Fitness has made available to members. When you want to switch up your routine or just trying to get in a quick workout before work, this is perfect. I like the fact that in a short period of time (36 minutes), I get a total body workout including my cardio and my strength training. If you have an hour or less to put in at the gym it is absolutely doable, without excuses. The first time I tried Stage 1 of the circuit, I could tell my heart rate rate was up but I wasn't sure if I was working all of my muscles...until the next day. I could feel the burn in every muscle. The great thing is that you can adjust the weight and incline as you grow stronger.I know this workout will push me to my max every time!!
Hey, I’m Dr. Mike Wu! The new dentist in town who works with Dr. Mary-Ellen Kennedy. For
the past year Energy Fitness has been like a home away from home for
me. From the courteous, helpful, and friendly staff to it's persistently
kept facility. This gym creates an environment that facilitates my
motivation to train. Jackie and her staff have done a wonderful job with
Energy and I plan to stay here as a member for years to come. Every
workout at Energy is an essential part of my day regardless to what kind
of day I'm having. I have always been active, however given the high
quality equipment and all the friends I have met through the gym to help
me with my training. I was able to increase my strength and endurance
substantially. The atmosphere and the encouragement of the staff only
makes going to the gym not just a habit but an exciting part of my day
and contributes to accomplishing goals I set for myself, for example
increasing my dead-lift to 365lbs. I would most definitely recommend
Energy Fitness to anyone who is interested in bettering their overall
I joined Energy April 2010, I was 24
years old and had just overcome a blood disorder and now extremely
overweight. As a result I had extremely high blood pressure and other
The First time I walked into Energy I was not sure what to expect but
I soon felt like I belonged to a family. I started fitness classes that
were not easy but made me feel amazing. In the first three months I
lost 32 lbs and ran my first 5K run. It is now May 2011 and thanks to
the group runs, fitness schedules, and the trainers and staff willing to
answer all the questions that I have I am going to run my first Half
Marathon in Fargo just a year after joining Energy.
from a large city to a small town, I anticipated working out in an
older community centre or working out from the home. I was pleasantly
surprised when I walked into Energy Fitness Centre. I did not expect to
find the same caliber of fitness facilities in a town 1/30 the size I am
from! The equipment is state-of-the-art, and all of the machines I
typically workout on in the city gym are available to me. Furthermore,
the facility is very clean, and inviting with great decor. There are a
variety of classes available, which I enjoy attending. The instructors
are great; very motivating, and energetic. The staff is wonderful,
welcoming, and very willing to show a newcomer around. Being in Fort
Frances only seasonally, I was also unsure if I would be able to
purchase a short-term membership. Energy provides the facilities that I
am accustomed to in the city, and allows me to continue attaining my
personal fitness goals. Last summer, I thoroughly enjoyed all my
workouts at Energy, and have since returned every time I pass back
through town. I look forward to renewing my membership this summer, and
once again being a part of the wonderful community at Energy Fitness
joined Energy Fitness with apprehension. To my surprise everyone was not
20 years old and skinny. There were people of all ages, sizes, and
abilities. My previous exercise consisted of walking outside if I felt
like it and the weather was co-operating. I am typical of my age group.
Arthritis, back pain, neck pain and high cholesterol are part of my
life. Within a few weeks of going to Energy I found my energy level
increased, my stamina increased and my doctor described my cholesterol
numbers as a Cardiologist's dream! The staff at Energy are wonderful
encouragers, and are willing to help you every step of the way. The
other exercisers are friendly and it is great talking to others as we
work together. You feel great when you go there and even better when you
leave.(and I mean that in a very good way!)
When I first joined Energy, I was very
apprehensive about walking through the doors but I found the staff so
welcoming and friendly that I knew I was in the right place and that I
would love my workout time.
The opportunities are endless if you choose to try all the equipment
and classes. There is something for everyone regard less of your age. I
have tried the pilates and the spin classes as well as the treadclimber,
treadmill and the weights. I get a great workout. I find my workouts to
be great stress relievers and as a bonus my bone density has improved
greatly. I feel so healthy and energetic.
Joining Energy has been an inspirational and healthy investment for
me and I will keep recommending Energy to anyone who has not tried it.
Thanks you Jackie and staff for your help and encouragement in becoming a
very healthy person.
Energy Fitness...my place of work and workouts.
Being a working Mom, as so many of us are, it's hard to find the
balance and put yourself first. Because of this, I never took the care I
should have of myself, and therefore I suffered from being over weight.
Thankfully sooner than later I realized that to be around and enjoy my
life I needed to change. Being affiliated with such a place, has allowed
me to become knowledgeable of the fitness world and apply it to my own
life. I am a healthier person inside and out and have lost 45 pounds to
date thanks to the kick-your-butt challenges that Energy offers. Even
though I have not reached my ultimate weight loss goal, I know what it
takes to become and stay a healthier you. My new goal is the Fargo 10K
happening in May 2011.
